Wellness & Training

Wellness is an official and integral part of the Air Force Junior ROTC program. It consists of exercise programs focused upon individual base line improvements with the goal of achieving a national standard as calculated by age and gender. The Wellness curriculum is instrumental in developing citizens of character dedicated to serving our nation and communities and used as a tool to help cadets develop individualized training programs.

As with all facets of the JROTC program, Wellness is also student led.  Cadets are responsible to developing exercise routines, leading classes in these routines and for motivating their fellow cadets all under the direct supervision of one of the instructors.  The fitness test at the end of the year will help cadets evaluate the results of their hard work along with their dedication to living a healthy life style.

Students will participate in the Air Force Fitness Program and take the 3 event test within 45 days of school starting and within 30 days of school ending so they may gauge their progress and qualify for a fitness award.

JROTC was not at all what I expected. I learned so many things and will be forever grateful.
